Assessment Centre

Case Studies

Assessors will create a specified case study relating to the role you are applying for and the required skills. The purpose of this exercise is for assessors to establish if you have:

 

  • An understanding of the study - This is the type of work you will be required to handle whilst at the company

 

  • Analytical skills - You must be able to analyse the potential problems within the case study, those which are obvious and those which are not

 

  • Good Application - You must be able to understand the objectives of the case study and apply the relevant Accounting OR Business regulations

Psychometric Tests

Psychometric tests can include verbal reasoning, critical thinking, numerical reasoning, personality tests and situational tests. These tests are designed to show how you act and think when dealing with a scenario or set of facts.

Free Psychometric tests can be found online, allowing you to gain practice before an Assessment Centre. This is very important during the preparation stage!

Presentations

​

Presentations are often used in order to see how you handle being set a task and delivering this task in front of a potential client. Employers using this assessment technique will be seeking excellent verbal/written communication skills, a clear structure, time management, eye contact, persuasiveness and confidence
